I'm back..
..in business now... Been working crazy much, moving in to a new lovely house, meeting new interesting people...and just had long lazy days on the beach. Far away from computers. But there has also been a bit of time left over for random dancing i the streets, ukulele playing, fashion shows and a glass of champagne in the pool with my lovely flatmate Marta.
Last week, or was it the one before that..?! (the days don't seem to have an end nor beginning really) I worked alot with buffalo girl. We went to the crystal castle. She handpicks each and every gem she puts in to her beautiful bags and accessories. Another day the same week we did a photo shoot in the beautiful surroundings of Byron. I'm super happy to get to do the styling for one of my absolute favourite labels.

Morocc n'roll
A few pics I took in Sweden this summer. Found most of the stuff in Morocco when I was there a few years ago. A lot from India and Sri Lanka (one of my absolute favourite countries n the world) too to be honest. In a rush now, got back to Byron Bay a few days ago and now I'm off to see my new awsome flatmates!

White Cherry Lemonade
What did just happened here? These cherries used to be red, but from one year to another they turned white/yellow... Still tastes really yummie tho, as lemonade or just as they are.

The gras is always green..if you keep changing sides
...sides of the eqautor that is. I'm starting to appreciate the changing of the seasons... As I've said before, I've spoiled my self completely with all my travels. I've had summer (more or less) for 1,5 year straight now (central america, scandinavia, australia, scandinavia..) and I'm looking forward to another year of summer (oz again and then problably sweden next summer again) And I have loved it! Still loving it...but I wouldn't mind a little bit of darkness and cold. But just a LITTLE! Like two weeks or so would be enough. My swedish genes are making me stressed out about all this sunshine that needs to be absorbed, appreciated and worshipped! Thats what we scandinavians do during the summer, we activate ourselves as much as possible, we feel like we need to be outside to catch every little ray of sunshine, and during summer it gets dark for about 2 hours, so you can imagine... I feel like I need to stock up as much as possible of those lovely rays for the winter when I won't get to see much of them at all... It doesn't matter that I'm normally traveling most of the fall/winter/spring, or like now-living in the southern hemisphere, the "summer stress" is so deeply rooted in my soul I just end up feeling like I need a break from my "perfect" life before I hit the famous wall.
So even tho I know I'm going to experience another summer very, very soon I'm getting a stormach ace sitting infront of the computer writing this instead of swiming in some lake or having a picnic in a park. Ok, I might be exaggerating a bit - or a lot... But the truth is, half way thru this text I closed my laptop to go on a mini-roadtrip and enjoy a super nice lunch by the sea...in the sun. Summer is still my favourite of all seasons but to be able to sit inside watching a movie with good conscience once in a while would be great. If I would just do it I swear it will start raining the second the movie finishes and then keep raining for 3weeks straight... At least. :)
My ideal year would be warm, nice and sunny for 9 months, 1 month of fall, 1 month of winter (with snow and all) and 1 month of spring. Anyone heard of a place like that? Plesae let me know, I'll pack my bags and move tomorrow.

Fishes

The fishcakes all got eaten before I took a picture of them, I found this pic here where you can also find the recipe |
In the deep forests of Jämtland my nice, nephew and I went fishing. Estelle climbed a mountain, Milton showed off his superhero strength and then we caught 3 pikes. (to be honest my dad and brother caught the fish since E and M were busy slipping off rocks and filling their boots with mud and the pikes just played with my lure, biting it but refused to get hooked) Might be the ugliest lake living fish in the world and it's all covered in slime too... Something I found out while cleaning and cooking it... The slippery little suckers kept slipping off the kitchen bench. After about half an hour of washing that gooey stuff off the fishes I could finaly filé them and make thai fishcakes. Pike normally doesn't taste that good so I figured it was a good idea to make something with heaps of spices and other flavours to kind of cover it up. Worked like a charm! The day before, we took the boat out on another lake where E, M and I caught lots and lots of perch. They are sooo yummie, just fried in butter with potatoes and a nice fresh sallad on the side. How good is it to be able to just go out in nature and get food! GOOD food too, tasty and healty, just like it's supposed to be.
